Real Estate Law and Litigation

I represent individuals and companies of all sizes in matters concerning residential and commercial real estate. These range from simple purchases and sales of residential homes to commercial lease negotiations, commercial building transactions, resolving boundary, title, and other real estate disputes through litigation, land use and zoning issues, and the like.

Business Law and Litigation

I handle a wide variety of business law transactional matters and commercial disputes. The subjects of these matters are as diverse of the affairs of my clients, and include matters like creating new companies, negotiating and drafting contracts, anticipating and avoiding business conflicts, and when conflicts do arise, representing clients in lawsuits in state and federal courts.

Appeals

I handle appeals in the Michigan and federal court systems, on behalf of both appellants (the parties seeking to overturn the result in the court below) and appellees (the parties seeking to defend the result in the court below), focusing on commercial, real estate, and insurance disputes. This work includes representing clients in continuation of cases I handled in the trial court, and also includes being brought in to assist other lawyers and clients solely to handle an appeal.
